Maybe you've heard about Unit Studies, but don't think you could do it. Let me tell you,...you CAN do it, and there are instruction manuals to lead you step-by-step through just about any subject!
Jennifer Steward, from Stewardship, has written a book to help you understand what a Unit Study is, and how easy it is to make most ANY subject come alive for your students! Check out her website at www.unitstudies.com
Another popular, multi-volume Unit Study approach is called Konos. Their books have very detailed instruction, with a multitude of subjects and grade levels. Check it out at www.konos.com
From kindergarten to high school, students learn together, doing individual assignments (at their own level), while sharing the same topic.
Now, here's what makes it even better: Dinner time gets DAD involved as the children report on their activities, projects and what they learned that day! Community activites, museums, and "living books" become so much more interesting. Even family outings become a learning experience! How much better can it get?
Don't say you can't do it! Give it a try! I'll bet you'll LOVE IT, just like we did!
